Elections: Makinde declares Friday half day for Oyo workers

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has declared today a half day for civil servants in the state to prepare for Saturday’s governorship and House of Assembly elections.

Daily Trust reports that the declaration followed the trend in the presidential and National Assembly elections in which February 24, was declared half day.

In a circular, the governor said, “Flowing from the above, government offices are to close by 12 noon on Friday, 17th March, 2023, while staff covering essential services are expected to remain at their duty posts.

“Public and civil servants in the state are enjoined to go out on Saturday, 18th March, 2023, to perform their civic responsibility.”
