The Osun Election Petition Tribunal for the 2019 general elections has opened at the State High Court in Osogbo, the state capital.
The Secretary of the tribunal, Akubue Okechukwu, told journalists that the tribunal would be hearing complaints arising from the National and the State Assembly elections in the state.
He said the Registry of the election petition tribunal would be accessible from Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 7:30pm.
The last election into the Senate and House of Representatives was keenly contested between the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in which APC won two seat in the Senate while PDP won one.
The APC won six seats in the House of Representatives while PDP won three seats. As at the time of filing this report, none of the candidates has submitted petition to the election tribunal.
