Election judgement: APC storms Plateau to tackle ‘hindrance’ to legislators’ resumption

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Forum in the North Central has said it stormed Plateau State to facilitate a hitch-free resumption of their party candidates into the House of Assembly for legislative functions.

The forum also said it was in the state to tackle any form of hindrance against their members taking over the House of Assembly since they are now in the majority following the recent sack of all the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members by the Court of Appeal and declaring APC candidates winners of the election.

Speaking yesterday in Jos, the forum’s chairman, Alhaji Saleh Mandung Zazzaga, said they had also commenced a five-day special prayer for the APC to succeed in its current numerous undertakings.

He said the special prayers cut across the entire North Central states where their members operate, but they had, however, specially mobilised the forum’s officials  to Plateau to prepare grounds for the home-coming of the APC House of Assembly members from Abuja after receiving their certificates of return.

Zazzaga called on Governor Caleb Mutfwang not to hinder the resumption of legislative activities by their members, saying the recent removal of the Assembly roof for the renovation of the building by the state government could be an act of hindrance.

He said the return of the APC legislators from Abuja to resume legislative activities should not also be met with any resistance or confrontation, adding that the PDP should also call their supporters who have been protesting against the court judgement to order.
