The NYSC FCT Coordinator, Olanipekun Alao, stated this while addressing the corps members at their passing- out ceremony at the Kubwa Orientation Camp.
He said that letters of introduction to be duly signed by both the INEC and NYSC management would be given to them for proper identification during the polls.
The coordinator urged them to be good ambassadors of the country by discharging their duties with every sense of patriotism, honesty and objectivity, advising them to resist temptation and influences from politicians.
“You are the custodian of the Nigerian future. People will come to take advantage of your youthfulness by offering you money, influence and position. Don’t allow anybody to destroy your destiny. Let your driving force be for the better future of the nation.”.
While reassuring the corps members of maximum security during and after the polls, Alao said that adequate arrangements have been put in place both at the locations where the corps members would be camped, as well as at their respective duty posts.
He expressed optimism that they would deliver effectively in their mandate, having been adequately trained both by the electoral body and the NYSC officials.
