Elechi presents N99.8bn budget for Ebonyi

The budget, the governor said, is for stabilization for coherence and a proof of self-sustaining balance between the different sub-sectors on growth of the state.
He said the difference of 4.45 marginal reductions is indicated in year 2014 budget as in year 2013 which stood at N102.3 billion, adding that the 2013 budget suffered a number of hiccups.
Elechi further added that illegal bunkering of crude oil, import prohibition on certain goods which cut short the revenue of the federal government further affected the state, adding that taxation was equally among the factors that led to non actualization of the 2013 budget.
“Thus, out of N82.9 billion expected from the federal coffers, what has been received is over N50 billion which indicates that there was a budgetary deficit of about N32.6 billion,” he said.
