An elder statesman, Alhaji Muhammad Jibo of Tudun Wada, Zaria, has passed away at the age of 92.
He died on Wednesday after a prolonged illness at his residence.
He is survived by three wives,10 children, and many grandchildren. Among his children is the late Yusuf Jibo, a veteran broadcaster who served at the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), CNN, and later became the Chairman of the Governing Board of the Kaduna State Media Corporation.
Alhaji Muhammad Jibo was a distinguished public servant with a notable career. He served in the Nigerian Railway Corporation, where he excelled and reached the pinnacle of his career. He held various positions in the Northern Government of Nigeria, contributed to Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, and served as the Federal Commissioner of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Additionally, he was an adviser to both the Kaduna State government and the Federal Government of Nigeria.

In recognition of his service, Alhaji Jibo was honoured with the prestigious Membership of the Order of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (MFR).
