Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has signed the 2022 budget of N278.58bn.
The event was witnessed by the Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Yusuf Zailani, and other principal officers of the assembly, as well as commissioners and aides of the governor.

The governor stated that the assembly increased the budget from N233bn proposed by the executive to N278.58bn to accommodate more project requests.
The Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Muhammad Sani Abdullahi, said the signed budget comprised of N184.53bn capital and N94.05bn recurrent expenditure on ration 66:37.
He gave the breakdown as education (N41.66bn), health (N28.63bn) and social development (N19.37bn), with N28.94bn capital allocated for public works and infrastructure and N8.79bn for housing and urban development.
He added that the state was targeting N150bn as annual internally generated revenue (IGR) from the current internally generated revenue of N50bn.
