Ekweremadu urges prayers for Buhari

Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, yesterday congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari on his 75th birthday, urging Nigerians to pray for him. 

In a congratulatory message by his media aide, Uche Anichukwu, Ekweremadu described President Buhari as an elder statesman, who had continued to pay his dues in service to the nation.

He expressed gratitude to God for restoring the President’s health and urged Nigerians not to relent in their prayers for the President as he continues to pilot the affairs of the nation. 

He said: “I believe that power belongs to God and that every leader is called by Him at an appointed time for a purpose. 

“On behalf of my family and constituents, therefore, I pray God, who has called you, to continue to support you with length of days, sound health, wisdom, grace, and indeed all that it takes to etch your days and stewardship in gold in the annals of the nation.”
