The Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu and Governors of the South East geo-political zone are currently meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House Villa, in Abuja, Daily Trust reports.
Ekweremadu and the governors arrived the State House Villa, Abuja by 4.10pm and went straight into the President’s office for a closed door meeting.
Except for the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, the four other governors of the zone including Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi and Enugu are said to be in attendance at the meeting.
The South East Governors Forum had on Monday listed the issues to be discussed with the President to include the construction of Second Niger Bridge, bad navigational and other facilities at Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, poor roads and non-representation of the zone among Service Chiefs.
