A former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP is slugging it out with Obarisi Ovie Omo-Agege of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for Deputy Senate President.
Voting is currently ongoing to elect the Deputy Senate President.
Ahmed Lawan, the candidate anointed by President Muhammadu Buhari had earlier scored 79 votes to emerge the Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
