The former Interim National Chairman of the ruling APC, Chief Bisi Akande, hinted yesterday that a decision that would give best advantage to the party and the country had been taken on the inconclusive governorship primary election in Ekiti State.
Chief Akande fielded questions from journalists after a meeting he and the national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, had with the 33 governorship aspirants of the party.
He said the details of the outcome of the meeting with the aspirants would be conveyed to Nigerians after a meeting scheduled to hold today with the party’s national chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, today.
On whether the meeting took a position on consensus, he said, “We take a decision on what will be of the best advantage to our party and the country.”
