The Ekiti State Government on Monday declared the installation of one Stephen Ajayi as the Obanla of Ipao-Ekiti on Ikole Local Government as illegal, null and void.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Deputy Governor, Chief Bisi Egbeyemi, said this during a meeting with the traditional Chiefs of Ipao-Ekiti in his office in Ado-Ekiti.

Egbeyemi said the purported installation was done contrary to the laws governing the nomination, selection and installation of Obas in the state. (NAN)
