A magistrates’ court sitting in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, has sentenced a 35-year-old man, George Joseph, to one month community service for stealing a handkerchief and a keyboard converter belonging to St Luke’s Anglican Church, Ile Abiye.

Earlier, the prosecutor, Inspector Elijah Adejare, told the court that Joseph, on August 6, at about 6pm, stole a keyboard converter valued at N10,000 and a handkerchief valued at N500 belonging to St Luke’s Anglican Church, Ile Abiye, contrary to Section 302 of the Criminal Laws of Ekiti State 2021.

The Magistrate, Mr Tomiwa Daramola, sentenced Joseph following his guilty plea and the facts of the case.
