A new commissioner of police (CP) has assumed office in Ekiti State. He is Mr Moronkeji Olusegun Adesina. He took over from Mr Tunde Mobayo who has since retired from the police force.
CP Adesina, while taking charge at the state command, said community partnership and respect for human rights would be his guiding philosophy.
He promised to partner with the military, paramilitary, intelligence agencies and communities to enhance knowledge sharing, deepen mutual understanding and develop a tight security architecture in the state.
CP Adesina, therefore, appealed to members of the public to give maximum cooperation to the police as the command under his watch was determined to partner with them in pursuing a more vigorous and effective community policing.
