Ekiti first lady teaches students at varsity

Wife of the governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, has commenced community service with her decision to teach students in the classroom.

The First Lady for about two hours taught students of Education Management in the Ekiti State University (EKSU) to give back to the community.

She shared knowledge with the students who were excited to sit under her lecture.

Dr. Oyebanji, a senior lecturer at the University of Ibadan and presently awaiting her associate professorship, said she was excited to be back in the classroom at EKSU where she started her career in the academia and taught for 12 years before relocating to Ibadan.

The governor’s wife had earlier signified her intent to take time off her busy schedule as the First Lady to lecture students periodically at EKSU to contribute her quota to the development of students at the state-owned university.

Third year (300 Level) students in the Department of Education Management at EKSU were  excited to see the First Lady in the class to teach them a course, Leadership in Formal Organisations in which she dwelt on theories of  leadership and entertained a series of questions from the appreciative students.
