The Ekiti State Government has employed 16 medical doctors within the last 100 days to improve the health system in the state.
The Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr. Oyebanji Filani, gave the figure while briefing journalists about the achievements of the ministry since his assumption of office 100 days ago.
Dr. Oyebanji, said the newly employed doctors were to augment the services of the existing ones across all the health facilities in the State.
According to him, the ministry has strengthened preparedness and response to infections and disease outbreaks by leveraging on the resources from the COVID-19 response.
He informed that Ekiti State government has received and distributed over 12,000 face masks, 10 ambulances and other personal protective equipment donated by the SDG office.
