The victim of last Friday’s shooting at the All Progressives Congress (APC) rally in Ado Ekiti, Hon. Michael Bamidele, has been moved to Lagos for follow-up treatment to the surgeries he underwent for the gunshot wounds he sustained during the incident.
His Special Assistant on Media, Ahmed Salami, who disclosed this to journalists, said his boss was in a stable condition and that people had unfettered access to him at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH), Ado Ekiti, before he left for Lagos for further treatment.
Bamidele and another person were shot at the rally to welcome the gubernatorial candidate of the APC, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, to the state when a policeman mishandled his rifle and released some shots into the crowd.
Bamidele who was hit in the stomach and legs was immediately taken to EKSUTH.
He was subsequently flown to Lagos aboard an air ambulance chopper.
