Uncertainty in Ekiti State today as seven aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidature have called for a stoppage to the governorship primary election of the party in the state.
The aspirants claimed that the process had been hijacked to favour the alleged anointed candidate of Governor Kayode Fayemi.
The aspirants are Sen. Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, Sen. Dayo Adeyeye, Hon. Femi Bamidele, Hon. Bamidele Faparusi, Mr. Kayode Ojo, Hon. Demola Popoola and Mr. Olusola Afolabi.

According to them, all local government officers are Kayode Fayemi and Biodun Oyebanji supporters who were with him during the collection of his nomination forms and at his campaign process.
They further demanded that the process be delayed for some days for all to be prepared better.
All the seven aspirants are currently at the Department of State Services office in Ado-Ekiti to brief their heads on issues of the primary.
