The Chairman of the Ekiti State chapter of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), Pastor Abegunde Olakunle, has defected from the party a few weeks to the governorship election in the state slated for June.

Addressing newsmen in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, yesterday, Olakunle said his defection, alongside other executive members of the party, was as a result of the incompetence and bad leadership of the party’s national body.

He said his new political party would be announced after consultations with stakeholders.
