The youths of Ise/Orun local government area of Ekiti State have insisted that other aspirants should be allowed alongside Deputy Governor Kolapo Olusola to participate in a credible, free and fair primary to determine the flag bearer of the PDP in the 2018 governorship poll in the state.

They condemned the adoption of Olusola as the sole candidate of the party by Governor Ayo Fayose and his loyalists.

In a statement signed by Isaiah Onile and Rufus Oluwatuyi on Tuesday in which they expressed support for a PDP governorship aspirant, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, who hails from the council area.

They described Olusola’s emergence as "imposition unacceptable to the party and the electorate adding, "a level-playing field should be created for all aspirants to prove their worth. "

"This is a timely warning to save PDP from imminent collapse by allowing internal democracy to thrive in the party because the party is greater than any individual or group."

Meanwhile, Adeyeye has urged his supporters "to remain unshaken and committed in the face of provocation and flagrant violation of the PDP constitution by Fayose in thew adoption of Olusola as sole candidate even when the race is yet to start."

A statement by the Director of Media and Publicity of Prince Adedayo Adeyeye Movement (PAAM) given to journalists, called on the supporters of the aspirants to have faith in the national organs of the party to create an enabling environment for transparent, credible, free and fair primary to elect a candidate.
