An eight-year-old boy, Faruk Abubakar was murdered on Thursday morning in the Tudun Fera community of Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau.
The incident was said to have occurred in the early hours of Thursday when he was sent by his mother to buy livestock feeds but only to be returned dead.

The Father of the deceased, Abubakar Dan Madiga said he was in the market when calls came in that his attention was needed because Faruk was slaughtered.
The Father told Daily Trust that, “Faruk was sent to buy livestock feeds from a shop not far from the house but didn’t return on time. All of a sudden, he was brought home dead by the vigilante commander of the area that his body was found in a secluded place.”
While commenting on the incident, the vigilante commander, Abubakar Shima who saw the body of the deceased said he had already informed the Divisional Police Officer of the area on the matter.
The spokesperson of the Plateau State Command, ASP Ubah Gabriel, said he has not been briefed on the incident but promised to contact our correspondent as soon as he gets the report.
