Eid el-Fitr: Police assure security for residents of Kogi

The Kogi State Commissioner of Police (CP), Ede Ayuba Ekpeji, has assured that adequate security measures have been put in place ahead of the Eid el-Fitr celebration in the state.

CP Ekpeji who was quoted in a statement by the command’s spokesman, DSP Williams Ovye Aya, said senior police officers, including area commanders, as well as Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), had been deployed to various locations to ensure a hitch-free celebration.

He reiterated the command’s level of preparedness and synergy with other security agencies in the state to ensure adequate protection of lives and property during and after the celebration.

He, therefore, urged members of the public to continue to be law-abiding as they went about their lawful activities.
