The federal government had declared Tuesday and Wednesday as public holidays in recognition of the season.

He said this period was a time to reach out to the needy to feel among while others are celebrating.

“I want to congratulate the Muslim faithful on the completion of their fast. I believe it was a time for spiritual awakening. We do some soul searching as a nation, and this period was important to having a renewal of mindset.

“I believe this period will make us see the need to become better as a nation and why we should live together as one.

“I urge us to consciously strive to make our nation a better place. With naira gaining value against the dollar and other positive signs we are seeing, I believe we can achieve what other nations we idolise have and even more.”
