Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, Wednesday, urged National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members not to engage in internet fraud or any other form of corruption, which could jeopardise their future career.

He gave the advice during a sensitisation lecture at NYSC Orientation Camp in Yikpata, Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State.

Bawa, who lamented the increasing involvement of youths in cyber-related crimes across the country, described as worrisome a situation where, as many as 50 youths were arrested in a single raid for cybercrime.

“There is no shortcut to wealth and fame. Acts of criminality might deliver wealth in the short term but ultimately, they lead to misery”, the EFCC boss warned.

The anti-graft czar who was represented by Head, Public Affairs of the Ilorin Zonal Command, Ayodele Babatunde, however, urged the corps members to take ownership of the anti-graft crusade and channel their fertile minds productively to benefit the country.
