EFCC to spend N1bn on local travel, 413m on vehicles

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has planned to spend N1,055,633,61 billion on local travels, analysis of the 2024 budget has shown.

The commission also budgeted N113.4m on training for local travels while N389.6m will go to transport for international training and another N173.6m was set aside for “international travel & transport: others”

Further analysis showed the anti graft agency will spend N413m on new vehicles while N164.3m will be spent to fuel the commission cars.

N273.3 was also budgeted to fuel generators while N156.8m is for electricity charges.

It went further to show that N271.2m will be spent on security operations to be conducted by the agency while N186.6m will be spent on legal services.

It also plans to spend N71.3 on meals and refreshments with N413.7m to go to the purchase of fittings, shelves for its headquarters and zonal commands while another N352.1m will be for maintenance of office buildings and residential quarters.

It showed that N65.2m will be used to print security documents with N46m used to print non-security documents as well as spending N44.1m on “annual budget expenses and administration.”

It also said N455m will be spent on insurance premium.

NFIU to spend 295.5m on welfare packages

Another anti graft agency, the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) also plans to spend N295.5m on welfare packages while buying N303m worth of cars.

The agency also budgeted N55.7m to clean and fumigate its offices while fueling its vehicles during the period with N60.3 during the period and fuel for its generator will cost N53.3m.

It also wishes to spend N46.4m on refreshment and meals with honorarium and sitting allowance to gulp N23.2m.

It also wants to use 23.2m for local training while N83.5m will be used for local travel and transport. For international trainings, the cost will be N92.8m while international training is N92.8m.
