EFCC staff take oath of secrecy

Staff of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Tuesday took a fresh oath of allegiance, swearing not to leak official documents and information.

EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, in a statement, said this was in line with the Official Secrets Act and the newly adopted Document Classification Policy of the commission.

He said the staff pledged, among other things, to perform their duties diligently and honestly.

He said as part of ongoing reform efforts to improve efficient delivery of mandate, EFCC officials, led by the chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, took fresh official oaths, pledging among others, to perform their duties diligently and honestly.
