EFCC recovers more vehicles from ex-Customs boss

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in a fresh raid on a property belonging to the former Comptroller-General of Customs, Abdullahi Dikko-Inde has recovered 42 cargo tricycles, 32-seater Nissan bus and other items. 

The items were recovered at a warehouse, off Nnamdi Azikwe Express Way bypass near the  NASFAT village  in Igabi local government area of Kaduna State. Other items recovered from the warehouse linked with the former CG include over 500 rug carpets, two fire-proof safes, one tipper truck and  16 motorcycles.  

Zonal Head of the EFCC in Kaduna, Bappa Ibrahim, while addressing newsmen in Kaduna , said, “As you can see, we have recovered more items from the former Comptroller-General of Customs, Abdullahi Dikko Inde. The items include 32-seater Nissan bus, 42 cargo tricycles, one tipper truck, 16 motorcycles, over 500 rug carpets and two fire-proof safes. 

He said the operation that led to the recovery of the items is part of the investigation on the former Customs boss.  

The two recovered fire-proof safes  when opened by operatives of the EFCC in the full glare of reporters, contained  few documents, an iron stamp, 50 and 20 naira notes amounting to N1,560 as well as polythene bags. 

The anti-graft agency had in a similar raid last week, recovered 17 posh vehicles from the former CG of the Customs boss.
