The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has filed fresh charges against a former governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha, over alleged N2.9bn fraud.
The EFCC filed the 17-count charges Monday at the Federal High Court, Abuja.

Senator Okorocha (APC, Imo West) had last week declared his intention to contest the 2023 presidential election.
He was charged alongside a politician, Anyim Nyerere Chinenye and five companies for allegedly conspiring to steal N2.9 billion public funds.
The companies are Anyim Nyerere Chinenye, Naphtali International Limited, Perfect Finish Multi Projects Limited, Consolid Projects Consulting Limited, Pramif International Limited, and Legend World Concepts Limited.
