A group, Independent Hajj Reporters, has urged the approved airlines for 2016 hajj to ensure efficient services to Nigerian pilgrims because the era of keeping pilgrims waiting beyond internationally accepted time is over.
A statement by the civil society’s national coordinator Ibrahim Muhammed and publicity secretary Abubakar Mahmoud urged the airlines to consolidate on last year’s achievement by airlifting pilgrims to Saudi Arabia and back before the officially scheduled date.
The federal government had approved Med-view Airlines Limited, Max Air Limited, Dornier Aviation Nigeria AEP Limited, Top Brass, AZMAN Air Services and Fly-Nas Air for the airlift of Nigerian pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for the 2016 hajj.
NAHCO Aviance and Medview International Travels and Cargo were also approved for the airfreight of the pilgrims’ excess cargo.
