EFCC arrests 9 suspected internet fraudsters

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) said it has arrested nine suspected internet fraudsters in Niger State.

The Abuja Zonal Office of EFCC in Minna, disclosed this via a post on its Facebook page, adding that the suspects were arrested following intelligence volunteered to the Commission by concerned residents of the area.

The post said the suspects were picked up by operatives of the Commission at their hideouts in a hotel behind NNPC’s mega petrol station in Minna, Niger State, for their alleged involvement in a love scam and other internet related crimes.

The suspects include: Ohanuka. O. Samuel, Adebayo Adeyinka Samuel, Omoh Simeon, Igah Abumere,   Ajobo Sunday, Abdulkadir Musbau,  Iredia Johnson, Aliyu Abdulazeez, and Adebisi Temitope.

Items recovered from the suspects include, one Toyota Venza with registration number LND 528 GD, laptops and exotic phones.

The commission said they will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
