EFCC arraigns two over forgery of document

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned two persons before an FCT High Court on allegations of forging a document belonging to Citadel Oracle Concepts Ltd for the execution of a computer supply contract.

Princess O. Kama and Onny Igbokwe were on Wednesday arraigned on four-count charges of conspiracy and forgery under sections 96, 363 and 366 of the Penal Code.

The EFCC alleged that Kama and Igbokwe had sometimes between April and December 14, 2012 made a Board Resolution of Citadel Oracle Concepts Ltd while opening an account with number: 0059202675 at Access Bank Plc “with intent to commit fraud.”

The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Justice Danlami Senchi granted them bail in the sum of N1million with one surety each in like sum.

The surety must be a civil servant and owner of landed property in the FCT, according to the judge.

The Managing Director of Citadel Oracle Concepts Ltd, Benjamin Joseph, was charged with false information by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) before another FCT High Court after he accused officials of Zinox Group of hijacking a N170.3 million contracts awarded to his company by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) in 2012 using the forged board resolution.

The case has been adjourned to December 4 for hearing.
