The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Godwin Obaseki as the governor-elect of Edo state.
The returning officer, Prof. Kayode Soremekun made the announcement after the collation of results from the 18 Local Government Areas.
APC won the Edo state governorship election with a total of 319, 483 votes as against the 253, 173 recorded by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Total votes cast was 613,244, the total valid votes was 582,299 while 30,945 votes were rejected. APC won 13 of the 18 LGAs
