Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has announced job vacancies in the building, maintenance, emergency services and agricultural sectors in the state as part of efforts to strengthen the civil service.

The vacancies, according to a statement signed by the state chairman, Civil Service Commission, Princess Ekiuwa Inneh, are for engineers, surveyors, firemen, architects, veterinarians, forest officers, town planners, among others.

She said the state government is commited to injecting new life into the civil service in pursuance of infrastructural and social development projects in the state.

According to her, no fewer than 42 vacancies in various disciplines are open while applicants are to apply through the state civil service commission.

The governor had on Workers’ Day said the state had not sacked any worker since his administration took over the state rather provision has been made to employ more.
