The Chairman of Oredo LGA of Edo State has ordered security agencies to arrest anyone, including staff of the council, exploiting enrollees for the National Identification Number (NIN) by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) in the area.
Obaseki gave the order at a joint security meeting with the management of the Oredo centre of NIMC, saying the order became necessary following the alleged extortion of enrollees at the centre.

He said the development had resulted in uncontrollable crowds at the NIMC office, noting that it was a pointer to a serious security breach within the premises.
He advised those engaging in racketeering of NIN to desist as whoever was caught would face the full wrath of the law.
