Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have rescued a victim and arrested three suspected kidnappers.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, said the suspects were arrested following a complaint by one Miracle Osagie at the Aduwawa Division in Benin City that a gang of armed robbers/kidnappers broke into his house in Ogueka community, shot his younger sister, Blessing Osagie, on one of her breasts and robbed them of valuables, including a Lexus 330, and kidnapped his brother.
Chidi explained that the police, in collaboration with vigilantes, rescued the victim unhurt and arrested three members of the kidnapping gang.
He listed the items recovered from the suspects to include one locally made cut-to-size gun and two live cartridges.

He said the suspects made statements and confessed to the crime and that they would be charged to court soon.
