The Edo State chapter of the Labour Party (LP) has said that it will inaugurate its campaign council today ahead of the September 21, governorship election in the state.
Addressing newsmen at the weekend in Benin after a stakeholders’ meeting, the LP state Chairman, Kelly Ogbaloi, said the campaign council would be headed by Reverend Sam Omede as the director general, while Dr Ehikioya Agboga would serve as deputy director, as well as deputy director general for Edo Central Senatorial District.

Ogbaloi listed other members of the council to include the Senator representing Edo South, Ned Imasuen; Hon Esosa Iyawe and Hon Murphy Osaro Omoruyi.
He said, “We have meticulously selected individuals of impeccable character to lead the state campaign council and local government campaign committees in preparation.”
