The Edo State Government has dissolved Sub-Committees set up for the 19th National Sports Festival (NSF), tagged Edo 2020.
The dissolution of the committee is said to be due to the federal government’s inability to fix a definite date for the sports festival.

A letter dated December 9, 2020 and signed by the Secretary of the Local Organising Committee (LOC), Dr Emmanuel Igbinosa, said all the sub-committees for the festival have been solved.
“I am directed by the Deputy Governor, who doubles as the LOC Chairman for the festival, to inform you of the dissolution of all committees with immediate effect.”
The festival was earlier scheduled to hold between March 22 to April 1, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The government recently rescheduled the festival for January 3 to 18, 2021 but it was again put on hold indefinitely.
