The Benin Zonal Command of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) Sunday said it has secured the conviction of a couple, Mr & Mrs Otabor Idahosa, in Benin, Edo State, for human trafficking.
The Zonal Commander, Ganiu Aganran, said that Adesuwa Otabor and Otabor Idahosa were jailed five years in prison for conspiracy and trafficking women for prostitution.

Aganran, who disclosed this during an interview with journalists, said they were found guilty by an Edo State High Court of trafficking a victim to Dubai, UAE, for prostitution sitting.
He said, “The offence contravenes Section 27 of the Trafficking in Persons (Prohibition) Enforcement and Administration Act, 2015.”
