The Edo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday postponed the announcement of the result of the party’s primaries for the National Assembly and state Assembly seats.
The election was peaceful across the state.
However, our reporter noted that when it was the time to announce the result, rumour filtered in that the National Working Committee had cancelled the election.

Journalists were asked to go and wait at the party’s secretariat for the announcement.
After waiting endlessly, they were told that the announcement has been postponed. No reason was given for the postponement.
