Edo APC chair escapes from captivity

The kidnapped chairman of the APC of Ward 9 in Orhionmwon LGA of Edo State, Mr Godwin Aigbogun, has escaped from captivity in the hands of kidnappers.

It was gathered that Aigbogun was kidnapped on Monday on his way back from his farm in Ologbo-Nugu and the kidnappers demanded N5m from his family, but that he was able to escape without the payment.

Our reporter could not get the confirmation from the state police command’s spokesperson, Chidi Nwanbuzor, as calls to his phone were not answered.

But the state’s Publicity Secretary of APC, Peter Uwadiae, confirmed the escape.
