The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Edo State has disclosed that 42 people died in road accidents across the state between January and April, this year.
The Sector Commander, Paul Okpe, who disclosed this in a chat with journalists, said 57 accidents involving 537 were recorded across the state within the period under review in which 22 persons were killed in January, four in February, 11 July and five in April; and 206 injured.
Okpe attributed the accidents to over-speeding, brake failure, route violation, dangerous driving, use of phone while driving, among other causes.
