The police in Ebonyi State have arrested a couple for allegedly torturing an eight-year-old girl for reportedly stealing N10 sweet.
It was gathered that the girl was tied and made to face the scorching sun for taking the sweet said to have been kept for the about two-year-old child of the couple.

The culprits, Philip and Agartha Iboko, hail from Izzi Local Government Area of the state.
They were arrested by police operatives following the intervention of their neighbours who alerted the police.
