Technology giant, Google has honoured the late Nigerian Doctor Ameyo Stella Adadevoh who died during the Ebola crisis, with a doodle in celebration of what would have been her 62nd birthday on October 27.
A Google Doodle is a special, temporary alteration of the logo on Google’s homepage that is intended to celebrate holidays, events, achievements and people.
On Saturday, Google celebrates Adadevoh with its doodle illustration along with a video stating her efforts and sacrifice.
It featured an instrumental soundtrack, texts and several photos of the doctor.

Clicking on the doodle leads the viewer to several videos, Wikipedia page and stories about Adadevoh.
The doodle shows an illustrated chest photo of Adadevoh wearing a medical coat and hanging a stethoscope around her neck. There is also another full portrait illustration of her in complete scrubs.
In her biography google video, she was described as “The physician whose expertise and heroic efforts curbed the spread of Ebola in Nigeria in 2014”.

It also states that “She is known for preventing the Nigerian index case from leaving the hospital at the time of diagnosis, thereby playing a key role in curbing the spread of the virus in Nigeria”.
Adadevoh died in 2014.
