Easter: Police beef up security in Edo, Delta, Bayelsa

The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of  Zone 5 comprising Edo, Delta and Bayelsa states, Abubakar Adamu Muhammed, has disclosed that adequate security arrangement has been made across the state commands to ensure crime-free Easter celebration.

A statement signed by the spokesperson of the zone, DSP Emeka Iheanacho and made available to journalists in Benin, said security would be beefed up in all recreation and religious centres, radio and television houses, cinema halls, government installations, among others.
“Men of intervention/striking squad, tactical operation squad, including safer Highways and conventional anti-crime patrol team would be deployed to  strategic locations to provide security,” Muhammed said.
