The police said they have beefed up security around worship centres, banks and fun spots to forestall attacks during the Easter celebrations.
The spokesperson of the command, Omolola Odutola, said in order to ensure a peaceful celebration of Easter, the Commissioner of Police (CP), Alamutu Abiodun, ordered round the clock security and protection of public spaces during and after the celebrations.

Odutola said, “Locations such as Long Bridge, Bamboo, Four Square, Alapako, Onigari, Ogunmakin, Straight Gate, worship centers, financial and institutions will witness intensified security measures to prevent possible attacks, having carefully monitored the modus operandi of the daredevil who may want to capitalise upon the festive season to carry out nefarious activities. There is an assurance from the police that adequate security measures have been implemented.”
