Over 1000 personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Ondo State have been deployed to ensure the protection of critical assets and infrastructure ahead of the Easter celebration.
This was disclosed in a statement on Tuesday by Mr Daniel Aidamenbor, the spokesperson for the NSCDC in the state.

Mr Aidamenbor, who quoted the state commandant of the corps, Oluyemi Ibiloye, in the statement, revealed that the personnel were drawn from the Operations Department, Female Squad, Rapid Response Squad, Counter Terrorism Unit and Surveillance Unit.
He said the deployment was due to the expected high human and vehicular movement in and out of the state during and after the festive period.
