Easter: Gbajabiamila, Wase felicitate with Christians, call for prayers

The Speaker House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila and his deputy, Ahmed Idris Wase have congratulated Nigerian Christians on the celebration of this year’s Easter.

They felicitated with Christians in separate congratulatory messages to Nigerian Christians signed by their media aides on Sunday.

Gbajabiamila in his message signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Lanre Lasisi stated that the ‘period calls for sober reflection and dedication to nationhood’.

He, therefore, urged Christians to be their brothers’ keepers at all times and use the period of Easter to pray for unity and peace in the country.

Gbajabiamila also called on all citizens to support the government in its efforts to tackle the insecurity in the country.

Similarly, the Deputy Speaker, Ahmed Idris Wase in a message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Umar Muhammad Puma, enjoins Nigerians to be strong and prayerful amidst current security challenges bedevilling the country.

He expressed optimism that better days would soon come and urged Nigerians not to be discouraged but to continue to pray for the peace and stability of the country.
