In a bid to ensure a hitch-free Easter celebration, the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu, has ordered the deployment of 40,000 personnel.
The corps spokesman Emmanuel Okeh, said this in a statement on Tuesday.
He added that “apart from the deployment of personnel, sniffer dogs, specialised units, such as CBRN, Special Force, Counter Terrorism, Ambulances, Surveillance team are to be deployed to strategic areas.”
The statement added that the Commandant General urged personnel to work in synergy with other sister agencies while adding “that any officer or Command found wanting will be sanctioned appropriately”.
He advised parents to warn their wards to desist from any activities that are inimical to the society.
