Justice Oyebiola Oyewumi ordered parties to file and exchange their processes within seven days for the commencement of the hearing.
The action was brought by Professor Haruna Kaita, who was appointed the VC of the institution on February 11, 2016 but was replaced by the Ministry of Education on April 13, 2017.
Kaita said he filed the fresh claims in Abuja after his suspension and replacement as well as stoppage of his salaries despite the pendency of two suits at the National Industrial Court, Kano, challenging the validity of the suspension.
Kaita’s counsel, Abdulsalam Saleh, has also filed a contempt proceeding against Bichi before the court.
The matter was adjourned to July 20 for hearing.
