The Minister of the FCT, Muhammad Musa Bello, has disclosed that the dualisation of the Kuje Link Road to the Umar Musa Yar’Aduda Expressway (Airport Road) will commence this year.

Bello stated this when he led his campaign train in company the FCT APC Chairman, Alhaji Abdulmalik Usman, and APC chieftains to the palace of the Gomo of Kuje, Alhaji Haruna Jibrin Tanko, yesterday.

He noted that the move by the FCT Administration (FCTA) to embark on the dualisation of the road was in recognition of the growing importance of Kuje as a major satellite town in Abuja.

The minister, who is also the FCT Chairman of the APC Campaign Council for the re-election of President Buhari, informed the Gomo that he brought the goodwill of President Muhammadu Buhari to the entire people of Kuje Area Council.

He told the monarch that the party had chosen Buhari to re-contest as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in recognition of the developmental strides recorded in his first term in office.

“We have come to notify Your Royal Highness of Mr. President’s acceptance of the call for his service to continue the good work he has started. He used the first term to lay foundation while the second term will be to consolidate on the great works he has begun in order to take Nigeria to the Next Level,” the minister said.

Bello acknowledged that the reign of the Kuje monarch had been marked by peace and prosperity in the chiefdom as evidenced by the rapid expansion and development being experienced in the town year-on-year basis.
